We are currently enforcing the age limit on these programs since they are three hour programs which can be long for younger children, and we have found that given our groups of mixed ages, having children that are at least school age improves the overall group dynamic. In addition, the Naturalist Center’s main audience is school-aged children and above. We do have our Early Explorer’s Cove, which does programming for preschoolers.

I have the same question. Our family regularly (passionately) participates in naturalist programs, but the age limit leaves my eager four-year-old entomologist out.

Sounds like great programs. Is the age limit strictly enforced? Our family has an almost 6 year old little brother that would be greatly disappointed to be left out.
