I really like drinking water, lots of it! SF water is touted as being crystal clear - which it probably is at Hetch Hetchy. By the time it flows from my faucet, it is contaminated with chloramine, which is supposed to be better than chlorine to purify it. Have you ever noticed that a cup of water has a blue tinge to it? Chlorine at least dissipates when water is left standing, chloramine does not. Chloramine kills fresh water fish, rots latex filters in valves, eats through old pipes in houses - to me it's a menace. Therefor, I buy bottled water - more expensive or not.
