Oysters and acidification
From Science Today: “Recently, researchers discovered other effects of acidification on oysters and what the breakdown of the oysters’ calcium carbonate shells could mean for the acidic balance. Science Today sat down with the Academy’s own oyster expert, Dr. Peter Roopnarine, curator and chair of Invertebrate Zoology and Geology, to get some perspective on these recent studies.”

Hi Peter: I was a participant in the climate change exhibit which ran there until last year (I just read your blog post about the closing). Many of my images were in the videos and my repeat photo of Athabasca glacier was featured as a walk-by lenticular change print (what happened to that print?).
I hope this an okay place for me to post a few comments & questions. Thanks.
First, are you aware of my project and website, http://www.worldviewofglobalwarming.org? A recent post was about part of the ocean acidification issue with oyster growers in Puget Sound: http://www.worldviewofglobalwarming.org/pages/oceanacidification.php
Second: I’d like to let you know of my climate photography now on exhibition at the Boston Museum of Science: http://www.worldviewofglobalwarming.org/pages/exhibit.php and http://www.mos.org/exhibits/climate-change
Finally, please keep me on a list of possible contributors to future exhibits or photography about climate change.
If you have questions, please contact me at your convenience. Thank you for your work.
Best,
Gary Braasch
