The NEA Foundation Learning & Leadership grants fund individuals pursuing high-quality professional development, or groups taking part in collegial study.

For Fall notification, apply by June 1, 2015

Learning & Leadership grants are meant to support public school teachers, public education support professionals, and/or faculty and staff in public institutions of higher education. 

The grant amount is $2,000 for individuals pursuing high-quality professional development, such as summer institutes or action research.

The amount is $5,000 for groups engaging in collegial study, including study groups, action research, lesson study, or mentoring experiences for faculty or staff new to an assignment.

Applications may be submitted at any time, and are reviewed three times, with due dates in February, June and October. Education support professionals (non-administrators working with students outside of the classroom) are encouraged to apply, and preference is given to members of the National Education Association (NEA).
