This is the web of a mysmenid spider from the summit of Mt. Banahaw de Lucban. This three-dimensional orb web is about 3cm in diameter and is built by a spider less then 2mm in length. This is one of the spiders that I have come to the Philippines to find. There is only one described species of mysmenid from the Philippines: this one from the peak is almost certainly a species unknown to science.
