		<description><![CDATA[Great Blog Dr. Lewen and thanks for super gluing my sliced sole, and treating the Lionfish envenomation.
It was one of the most painful (but less stressful) injuries I have ever sustained. A week later it is still tender and the 4 spine penetrations are visible.

Sneaky fish sidling up while Im distracted!

Today we hiked through rice paddies, crossed two rivers and clambered up slippery boulders on the volcano to find Rafflesia. No injuries were sustained other than bruises from two slips.  What a great day and an incredible experience to be with this team of Filipino and California Academy of Sciences biologists.
