Many thanks for visiting Sibonai area in Sewa Bay who holds lot of wild life and fauna suprises. There are new birding and other plant spicies sites located by Sibonai Guest owner and talented nature research tour guiders Fred Francise and Waiyaki Nemani. The Endemic bird of paradise is found at Buyetai site, north east of Sibonai guest house about 2.5 hours walk in the undisturbed low land forest towards the mountains. The Bop is predicted to be found around the ridge of this mountain by local people. This sites are been maped out for future research excursion visits by your organisation or other recomended study visits. The Sibonai Guest house owners recently upgraded lodging facility and owner Waiyaki and Max Nemani are embarking on creating website and engaging conservation agencies to protect plants and forest from distruction via uncordinated gardening that exploits birding nesting and hatching sites.we will require your findings to support this cause in keeping this area reserved for tours. The guest house was recently visited by visiting USA students group of 11 and yet to post their findings.

I am Max Nemani and can asist with facilitation of PNG cities permit through PNG Conservation Department and base in POM as owner and liaisation officer for the village guest house per the email above.

Very interesting brief otherwise would have enjoyed more reading of the birds that were found at Sewa Bay. Just wondering where you had found the endemic bird of paradise of the D'Entrecasteux Islands in Sewa. Hear that the BoP can be found in the north eastern corner of Duau on the other side of the Sewa Bay.

Otherwise thank you for coming to the islands, and these are places where endemism of flora and fauna can be truely appreciated.

Very exciting to see the fruits (and fruit bats) of your labor. I hope the video crew captured the science.
We look forward to seeing you when you get home. I love the photos. More expeditions in the future..
