She not only treated members of our team, but she provided support to the local villagers who suffered from malaria, skin infections, and injuries of all sorts. I personally had a minor ear blockage that kept me from properly hearing bird calls, and Jane got my ear working again… These things can become serious quickly without a first-aid post of some sort nearby.
