There are two books that are very helpful.  &lt;em&gt;Softbills: care, breeding, and conservation&lt;/em&gt; by Martin Vince is great, as is the &lt;em&gt;Encyclopedia of Aviculture &lt;/em&gt; by Glen Holland et al.
