East Pavilion (Level 1)

Enter the world of color. Live animals and stunning interactive environments take you over the rainbow and reveal the significant roles color plays across a spectrum of species.
Naturalist Center (Level 3)
6:30-9:30 pm, Join us for a hands-on activity and make your own iridescent, rainbow colored bookmark
African Hall (Level 1)
6:30-9:15 pm, Green Arts Workshop—Make your very own Camouflage Creatures using color and creativity.
6:30-9:15 pm, Coloring Corner—Grab a crayon and color to your heart’s content.
Piazza (Level 1)
6:30, 7:30 & 8:30 pm, Baby Loves Disco—Groove to a family-friendly DJ set by everyone’s favorite Baby Love Disco.
7:00 pm, Color Curiosities—Join a live presenter for an adventure through the world of color! Dig into the myths and hidden meanings behind the color spectrum, and discover surprising color connections in the natural
Planetarium (Level 1)
7:00 pm, Solar System Update: Pluto Edition—Welcome to the Solar System as you might not have seen it before. On a 30 minute tour with Senior Planetarium Presenter Josh Roberts, find out how the most famous dwarf planet has challenged and intrigued astronomers and how it has forced scientists to ask “what makes a planet?”
8:00 & 8:45 pm, Tour of the Universe—Take a live tour of the Universe as a planetarium presenter pilots you around the solar system, through the stars, and beyond the galaxies before returning safely to Earth – all in 20 minutes!
Hohfeld Hall
7:10, 8:10, 9:10 pm, Infrared: the Light of Life— There are colors that our eyes can't see. One of them - infrared light - allows us to explore life and the universe in a way otherwise hidden to us
Near the Swamp (Level 1)
6:30-9:15 pm, Meet our Scientists—This is the perfect chance to learn about Academy research.

The original family dance party in the house! Let loose as DJ’s from Baby Loves Disco spin your favorite tunes blending beats from the 70’s and 80’s with today’s hottest hits. This is fun for all ages—just head on over to the Piazza and get into the groove.
Get hands-on with Green Arts Workshop—they’ll be in Africa Hall all evening to help you explore your creative side. Make your very own camouflage creatures and explore how colors help animals hide in nature.
A variety of food options are available at the Color of Life Member Evening from 6:30-9:30 pm including The Academy Café.
We will have a special complimentary cocktail, but you can also purchase other beverages from our bars.
