Dall Sheep
Romanzof Mountains

The half-shed coat of this Dall sheep testifies to the harsh winter conditions in the Arctic Refuge, which contains North America’s northernmost Dall sheep population. A year-round resident, they have lived in this region since the Pleistocene era.
