Thousands of San Francisco Residents to Enjoy the
3rd Annual Neighborhood Free Days
SAN FRANCISCO (September 27, 2001) -San Francisco residents can once
again enjoy free admission days to the California Academy of Sciences,
running throughout October and November. Invited by neighborhood, according
to zip codes, over 7,000 San Francisco residents visited the Academy on
Neighborhood Free Days during its first two years.
Each visiting adult must prove residency by showing a driver's license
or a utility bill. Only residents from the zip codes invited on the designated
dates will be admitted free of charge.
The expanded program includes Sundays so visitors can now visit on one
of three days: Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
Information about Neighborhood Free Days will be posted throughout San
Francisco in Community Centers, Public Library Branches, Recreation and
Park Sites, Preschools and Daycare Centers, Schools, and Neighborhood
Businesses. Additional information is available at www.calacademy.org
