Shake, Rattle and Roll at The Bone Head Ball
The Academy's 11th Annual Summer Gala

SAN FRANCISCO (June 17, 2002) -- Guests will shake, rattle and roll at the California Academy of Sciences' eleventh annual summer gala event The Bone Head Ball, Saturday, July 13, 2002. The Academy's newest exhibit, Skulls, inspired the antics for this skeletally themed gala.

At 8:30 p.m. "Bone Head" guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres by McCall & Associates while dancing to the tunes of Wonder Bread 5. Also, the music of Brazil will fill the halls when Vivendo de Pão hits the stage. The Harmonics Steel Band and Skel-e-Tones, jazz duo, will entertain throughout the evening.

Co-chairs of this event are Peter and Dodie Sutro Crawford and Ken and Akiko Freeman. Proceeds support Academy research and education.

The event is black tie (Skull duddery encouraged). Tickets are $100 for members of the Academy and $125 for non-members.
