Led by an Academy scientist, you will enjoy premier accommodations while delving into the area’s natural history and conservation issues. These high-quality, educational adventures, exclusive to members give you a hands-on glimpse into the Academy’s mission to explore, explain, and protect the natural world.

For over 30 years Academy scientists have led tours for Academy members to every corner of the globe, from the wilds of Alaska, to the sweeping wetlands of the Amazon; from the unique wildlife of the Galapagos, to the endangered Polar Bears of Canada. Past (and future!) destinations include Papua New Guinea, Antarctica, Borneo, Australia, China, Indonesia, Cuba, Africa, and India.

With an average group size of 18, Academy trips are intimate and exclusive, allowing you to explore and understand your destination beyond a regular vacation. Your group will have access to the expertise of your Academy leader, as well as your tour operator and highly skilled local guides. Prior to the tour, a trip orientation at the Academy gives you a chance to meet fellow travelers and the tour leaders.
