California Academy of Sciences Increases Public Transit Incentive to Museum Visitors
SAN FRANCISCO (January 22, 2001)--Effective February 1, the California Academy of Sciences will offer $2.50 off regular adult admission to visitors taking public transit to Golden Gate Park. The Academy's current transit discount is $1.00 off admission.
For years, the Academy of Sciences has offered a transit discount as an incentive for museum visitors to use public transportation as a means to reduce traffic in Golden Gate Park. The increased discount reflects the Academy's continued commitment to helping the Bay Area become a more environmentally sustainable community. All visitors paying regular adult admission must show their MUNI transfer or transit pass at the entrance to receive the transit discount.
The Academy, San Francisco's premier institution of natural world discovery, is open to visitors 365 days per year. The Academy is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day during the winter.
