Guests may Waltz, Foxtrot and Samba through 150 years
of Science SAN FRANCISCO (April 16, 2003) - As time marches forward, the California
Academy of Sciences will celebrate 150th anniversary at the Annual Ball,
Dancing through Time. Guests will be greeted with the lilting sounds of
violins, dazzling costumed characters and Captain Byrd with his macaws.
To mark the occasion, joint leadership will be provided by ball dinner
chairs from the past 17 years. In addition, guests may notice display
jewelry, worn by selected guests, courtesy of Shreve and Co. Shawn and Brook Byers Suzie and Lew Coleman Beth and Jim Dunbar Patti and Jerry Hume Kate and Tom Klein Marianne and Dick Peterson Harriet Quarre Tickets for this year's event begin at $300 per person. Tables of 10 are available at $10,000, $7,500 and $5,000. Purchasers of tables and purchasers of individual tickets of $350 and above will be acknowledged in the Dinner Program.
