Tonight's Dinosaur NightLife event is now SOLD OUT

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Jurassic Park Movie Screening
(African Hall, Level 1)

7:30 pm, Catch a screening of the original 1993 classic Jurassic Park (yes, the one that started it all)!
*Space is limited, please arrive early. Admission available to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis.

On arrival, be sure to snap a selfie with the Academy’s resident T. rex cast in the front lobby, then tag #CASNightLife to share with the world.

Dinosaur Fossils and "Bone Wars"
(Project Lab, Level 1)

6:30-9:00 pm, Join superstar Academy librarians Kelly Jensen and Heather Yager to take a trip back in time through specially-curated items from the Academy archives.

View rare books on the historic “Bone Wars” between legendary Victorian fossil-hunter rivals Edward Drinker Cope and Othniel Charles Marsh, the first to discover dinosaur superstars like Triceratops, Stegosaurus, and Dimetrodon.

Check out live plants from the Jurassic period and samples of dinosaur fossils including bones, teeth, trackway casts, and replicas with UC Berkeley museum of Paleontology and Academy Geology Curatorial Assistant Chrissy Garcia.

The demise of the dinosaurs by a killer asteroid is a popular theory. Get close up with asteroids in an immersive VR headset experience!
