This week, NightLife explores the science of movement—and what better way to celebrate beauty in motion than a performance from the world-renowned Alonzo King LINES Ballet?

Alonzo King LINES Ballet Performance
(Piazza)

7:30 & 8:30 pm, Catch a close-up peek at the company’s newest ballet Biophony, which pairs classic movement with real animal sounds recorded all over the world. Called "riveting" by the San Francisco Chronicle, Biophony is Alonzo King's newest work in collaboration with natural soundscape artist Bernie Krause and composer Richard Blackford.

7:00 & 9:00 pm, Learn hip hop with Jessica Recinos
8:00 pm, "You're Already Dancing: How to turn everyday movement into dance" with Jenni Bregman

"Mix & Match Marionettes" Craft
(Swamp)

6:00-10:00 pm, Play with "cut-up" and collage techniques to create your own one-of-a-kind hybrid dancers with Green Art Workshop!

FOOD & DRINK
A variety of food options are available at NightLife from 6-9:30 pm, including The Academy Cafe, The Terrace located in the West Garden, and The Academy Cafe Food Cart located in the front lobby.

Enjoy a different fresh seasonal "craft on draft" cocktail at each NightLife bar area designed by our resident mixologist Shane McKnight!
