SF Beer Week NightLife
It’s the most refreshing week of the year, SF Beer Week is here!
Bay Area Beer Hall
(Piazza & Swamp)
6–10 pm, Sip your way through a pop-up beer hall with dozens of local breweries including Ale Industries, Almanac, Anchor Brewing, Calicraft Brewing Co., Drake’s Brewing, Fort Point, Golden State Cider, New Bohemia, Pine Street, Six Rivers Brewery, Triple Voodoo, and more.
Beer tasting tickets are available for purchase by the Swamp. No cash will be accepted at tasting tables throughout the museum, only beer tickets.
Beer Ticket Prices:
$2 for 1 ticket
1-2 tickets for 3-ounce taste
4-5 tickets for 12-ounce full beer

Science of Brewing and Botany
6–10 pm, Treat your tastebuds to NightLife’s first-ever craft beer Aliciella Bitter, brewed by Magnolia Brewing Co. with plant types found on the museum’s living roof all while learning about the colorful history of Alice Eastwood, the renowned Academy botanist who inspired the museum’s signature beer.
Plus, meet Dr. Alicia Taylor from UC Berkeley who will break down the fascinating role that microbiology plays in brewing, then learn how to master the art of beer-making with a live demo from SF Brewcraft.
FOOD & DRINK
A variety of food options are available at NightLife from 6–9:30 pm, including The Academy Cafe, The Terrace located in the West Garden, and The Academy Cafe Food Cart located in the front lobby. Enjoy a different fresh seasonal "craft on draft" cocktail at each NightLife bar area designed by our resident mixologist Shane McKnight! All bars accept cash and credit cards.
6–7:45 pm, Osher Rainforest—explore a lush, four-story rainforest that's teeming with life.
6–10 pm, Discover a world of dazzling live animals and shimmering scientific specimens in Color of Life
