GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIPS AT THE CALIFORNIA ACADEMY OF SCIENCES

The California Academy of Sciences announces the availability of 4 graduate assistantships available to students from San Francisco State University. The positions are half-time (20 hours a week). Graduate assistants will work in the Academy's new Center for the Dissemination of Scientific Information highlighting the importance of research to the public at large.

Length of Term: Two years, contingent upon satisfactory evaluation after one year.

Application Deadline: March 5, 2004. Decisions will be announced April 15.

Start Date: August, 2004

Stipend: $12,216

PLEASE NOTE: First priority will be given to those students who have an Academy scientist as their major advisor. Second priority will be given to those who have an Academy scientist on their thesis committee. All other applicants will be considered after the above groups have been reviewed. Priority is also given to students without other support during the school year.
