Kristina Louie Memorial Fund
of the California Academy of Sciences

The Kristina Louie Memorial Fund honors the memory of Dr. Kristina Louie and her lifelong passion for the exploration of aquatic life. Kristina was trained at the California Academy of Sciences, Occidental College, and the University of California at Los Angeles, and was on the UCLA Faculty of Biology at the time of her untimely death.

The annual fund will provide support in the amount of $5,000 to a graduate student enrolled either at Occidental College or UCLA, or involved with biological research at the California Academy of Sciences. The grant may be used for (but not limited to) such expenses as travel to museums and other research institutions, travel to and participation in conferences and meetings, in support of field research, and other project-related expenses that further the research work and experience of the grantee.
