African Safari Cards work as a scavenger hunt

by megan on Jun. 18th, 2010 No Comments

The Naturalist Center has produced some beautiful cards which send you on a scavenger hunt of sorts through African Hall. Each card focuses on a different diorama, and encourages students (and adults!) to stop and look closely. In addition to fun facts, the Safari Cards include questions to lead the reader to discovery.

You can print out these African Safari Cards at school, and cut and tape accordingly to make handy cards. Students can work individually or in groups, and you can decide how many dioramas to assign to each group. Or, have a chaperone facilitate the activity. Answers to focus questions are included on a one-pager, so your chaperones won’t have to feel nervous!
