We wanted to let you know that Google has just launched the first online science fair. They are looking for bright young scientists from around the world to submit interesting, creative projects that are relevant to the world today. The competition is open to students aged 13 – 18 working on their own or in a team of two to three.
Google’s Science Fair Teachers page has a wealth of information on how to facilitate your child’s exploration and project, such as a section on how to get started, tips on how to help your child move through the scientific method, and how to keep them motivated and poised for success.
You can also learn about the panel of judges as well as some pretty amazing prizes. Check out the Google Science Fair pages for more information. We wish your students good luck, and happy experimenting!
