NGSS and the Solar System
An Astronomical Society of the Pacific Galileo Teacher Training Program Workshop for Teachers in Grades 3-9 (and those who work with them)

Explore the solar system through classroom tested, inquiry-rich activities designed to help students learn the processes of science through the study of the solar system.
Explicit alignment to the NGSS cross cutting theme of Scale, Proportion and Quantity and the practices of Developing and Using Models and Engaging in Argument from Evidence. Connections to Literacy and the Common Core.
Participants receive a wealth of teaching resources, including The Universe at Your Fingertips 2.0 DVD-ROM, a large collection of resources for teaching astronomy.
