My sons Karl and Christopher were part of the student volunteer program under Lloyd Gomez and had the wonderful privelege of his mentoring and teachings. They are better men today because of him and my oldest is now a Marine Biologist who followed his love of the animals there. And of course, we loved Ursula, the pengiun, she was a family member and I have tons of great pictures with her.

Another Nancy: The feedings are at 10:30 and 3:30 for 20 mins (or so the website says). Sometimes the human hangs around longer than that though. I always look in throughout the day. :-)

I live in Colorado and originally read about Pierre several months ago when the story about his health and development of his wetsuit was in the news. That was one of the most interesting and heartwarming events to come out of the news in a really long time. I just recently came across the story again and found the link to CAS website and the Penquin Cams. It's truly fancinating to watch the birds in action and I really like the closeups available on Pam's camera. The birds show so much personality as they just go about doing what they do. I wish some sound could be associated with the live feed video. That would provide another dimension to the experience and add to the enjoyment in the process. I'm really glad you folks are taking such wonderful care of the birds. Getting a chance to peak into their lives adds so much to life's experiences. Keep up the outstanding work and I hope Pierre is still enjoying his surroundings! Thanks again

I'm like some of the other commenters. I'm in a stressful job and take mini-breaks to watch "my" penguins. It helps de-stress me. I've been watching them all summer and they feel like friends now. Keep up the good work!

My family and I visited the penguin exhibit over the years many times. We were privileged to know and love one of your employees. His name was Lloyd Gomez. We had been friends for many years. When I see all the wonderful exhibits you have created, I think how pleased he would have been. The new exhibit would be very special to him. We shall never forget what he meant to us and all that he added to the lives of all who visited the Aquarium!

I was there opening weekend and this was my favorite exhibit. I missed the feeding that day so I was happy to catch it on the webcam the next morning. Thanks for your loving care and concern for these noble creatures. Love this webcam feature!

These web cams are great! I have a somewhat stressful job, and switching over to the underwater web cam to see what the little guys are up to throughout my workday is a great stress reliever! You can't help but smile and find some perspective when you watch them for a few minutes. I forwarded the link to friends, family, and co-workers so they can do the same. Thanks so much for letting us get a peak into their world!
