How much is it?
Subscribe to Digital membership for $6.58/month or $79/year—less than your favorite non-scientific streaming services.

What are my payment options?
Pay for your annual membership subscription your way: a single upfront payment of $79, or equal monthly installments of $6.58. Auto-renewal will automatically be applied to either payment method so you’ll never have to worry about a lapse in benefits or karma.

Is there an admission discount for Digital members?
Digital members don’t receive a discount on museum tickets, but can definitely apply the cost of their admission tickets toward an upgraded membership level during their visit.

What kinds of virtual programs and content are included?
From hands-on live crafting demos for kids to out-there astronomy lectures for adults, Digital membership features new livestream programs every month. We’ll also be curating on-demand content, including recordings of previous livestreams, for you to explore whenever the science craving strikes.

Is it for kids or adults?
Digital membership is for all humans, with a smorgasbord of livestreamed and on-demand programming and content to educate, inspire, and entertain science-lovers of all ages.

Accessing Member Connect platform

How do I access Member Connect?
Immediately after purchase, new Digital members will receive a welcome email containing a “magic link” to our new Digital Member Connect platform—no new logins or passwords to remember! From Member Connect, you can RSVP for and tune in to upcoming livestreams and browse on-demand content. We’ll also send monthly email updates and pre-event reminders to keep you in the loop.

Help! I’m having trouble connecting to Zoom.
Fear not! On days when livestream programs are scheduled, we’ll be obsessively monitoring our inbox and are standing by to save the day. Just drop us a line at digitalmembership@calacademy.org if you need immediate assistance.

Please note: Digital membership does not include free admission to the Academy. If you find yourself in San Francisco and would like to visit us IRL, you are welcome to apply the cost of your admission tickets toward an upgraded membership level during your visit.
