Droughts, Floods, and Eruptions Zone

 Meet Marina Psaros, co-founder of the California King Tides Project, as she discusses the impact of rising sea levels on local communities. Then head over to the Lawrence Livermore National Lab, to learn about the the California drought (Surprise! we're not out of the woods yet!) and buckle up as Evan Variano of UC Berkeley explains how turbulence, clouds, and volcanic eruptions influence our environment. 

Lessons in Extreme Weather
(Swamp)
6:00 - 10:00pm,
 Start off by learning how global climate change might affect our microclimates here in the Bay Area with Lisa Micheli and Nichole Heller from TBC3. Then, learn about California's own extreme weather from SFSU Meteorology Professor, John Monteverdi and learn to create abstract art inspired by extreme weather using ordinary table salt, wax, and watercolors with Green Art Workshop.

FOOD & DRINK
A variety of food options are available at NightLife from 6:00-9:30 pm, including The Academy Cafe, The Terrace located in the West Garden, and The Academy Cafe Food Cart located in the front lobby. Enjoy a different fresh seasonal "craft on draft" cocktail at each NightLife bar area designed by our resident mixologist Shane McKnight! All bars accept cash and credit cards.
