Alta Electric Motorcycles

------> Learn about the new fleet of electric vehicles taking to the streets. Check out Alta Motors, a local startup making waves with their all-electric motocross motorcycles.

Pedal Power

------> Light up the night with Rock the Bike’s pedal-powered LED sculpture while grooving to a set by DJ LuizaSá-Davis.

Make Your Own LED
(Swamp)
6:00 - 9:30pm 

------> Learn how to make your very own battery-powered LED “throwies”—colorful glowing lights to add some mini-cheer anywhere. Then, take your LED to make a jellyfish lantern with Julia Jane Moore Crafts.

SpaceWays Installation
(West Garden)

------>
 Head to the West Garden to explore Spaceways, an immersive art installation using fiber optic lights, by Mexico City’s multimedia collective Quarso.

Electric Knowledge
(Project Lab)

 Turn your attention to the power all around you by learning about the wiring of the web with Sonic Internet, Check out the magic behind BioPop's bioluminescent Dino-Sphere's and learn about Global Footprint Network's data-driven work helping to shape a sustainable future. ​

NIGHTLIFE TIPS

  • Hurry! Last entry for our Rainforest dome is at 7:45 pm. Please note: drinks are not allowed inside the Rainforest exhibit.
     
  • Thirsty? Each bar area features a unique seasonal cocktail—there are multiple bars throughout the museum.
     
  • Special programs and lectures may have limited seating and admission will also be made available to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis.
     
  • Programming lineup subject to change.

PLANETARIUM PASSES

  • Planetarium passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Early event arrival is strongly recommended due to limited capacity and high demand for passes.

FOOD & DRINK

  • A variety of food options are available at NightLife from 6 – 9:30 pm, including The Academy Cafe, The Terrace, and The Academy Cafe Food Cart located in the front lobby.
     
  • Enjoy a different fresh seasonal "craft on draft" cocktail at each NightLife bar area designed by our resident mixologist Shane McKnight!

All bars accept cash and credit cards.
