Every Bedroom Needs a Working Smoke Alarm.

Kick off Fire Prevention Week with hands-on activities!

Visit tables hosted by The Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation's San Francisco Firefighters in Safety Education, City College of San Francisco Paramedic Program & University of San Francisco Emergency Medical Response Service, San Francisco Firefighter's Toy Program, Neighborhood Emergency Response Team, and California Academy of Sciences Security Department. Partners will be on the public floor from 1PM to 4PM.

The key message of this year's Fire Prevention Week campaign, October 4-10, is to install smoke alarms in every bedroom, outside each separate sleeping area, and on every level of your home, including the basement. Larger homes may need more alarms.
