Have you taken advantage of Target’s Field Trip Grants?

Target stores award Field Trip Grants to K-12 schools nationwide, and each grant is valued up to $700.

Applications are accepted between August 1 – September 30, 2014, so apply today, whether you are planning a trip in the fall or the spring!

Of course, we highly recommend the fall, seeing as the Academy’s Skulls exhibit closes on November 30, 2014. Then again, you can certainly use your Field Trip Grant to visit any local cultural institution!

My students need to see the “Skulls” exhibit at the California Academy of Sciences. I teach Anatomy and Physiology to 11th and 12th graders. These kids dissect cats and process bones, seeing this incredible exhibit will open a world of science they would otherwise have to imagine. We are in Fremont, CA. $700.00 would get my students an awesome experience that we could not afford otherwise.

    Thank you in advance

We are wishing you the BEST of luck, Melanie! Target will make all decisions on grantees, but as an employee of the Academy, I would be delighted if your high school was awarded a field trip grant! Be sure to fill out that application, if you haven’t done so already.

My 5th and 6th grade students are learning about the animal kingdom this year in Science. They are very curious and excited about Science. We are doing a lot of hands on learning such as insect collections, leaf collections, dissecting owl pellets, and will be creating models of mammals. It would be helpful to see the skeletal structures of the animals in preparation. They will also be doing drawings of animals as a tie into the arts.
