Birthday Parties

Birthdays at the Academy are wild! Celebrate with a party room, priority exhibit access, and more.

Inspire your pint-sized scientist with an unforgettable birthday bash at the Academy!

Designed for children ages 4-12, your party will feature an action-packed array of events and activities at one of the most enchanting — and educational — settings in the Bay Area.

Each party package includes:

• 2-hour party room rental, including setup and cleanup
• Express entry into the earthquake simulator* and Osher Rainforest exhibit
• Reserved seating in the Planetarium (minimum age of 4)
• A special gift for the birthday child and party favors for all kids
• And more!

*The earthquake will be temporarily closed from January 16 through May 23, 2024 as we close the exhibit Giants of Land and Sea and build an exciting new exhibit - California: State of Nature, opening May 24, 2024.

Please note: Birthday parties are only offered on Saturdays and Sundays at 10 am and 2 pm. Available dates fill up fast—please make your party request as far in advance as possible!
