#TeenScienceNight 2023
Friday, August 11, 2023 was the 11th annual #TeenScienceNight—the Academy’s signature teen-takeover event, featuring a free evening of exhibit exploration, hands-on science investigations, and peer-to-peer networking with Bay Area organizations serving youth ages 13-18.
By the Numbers
- 1,400 youth attended from all 9 Bay Area counties and 103 California cities
- 20 community partner organizations (represented by more than 100 teens and 30 program leaders) led interactive stations on the public floor
- 5 interns from the Careers in Science Leadership Council helped produce the event, managing logistics, marketing, and partnership coordination
- 35 interns presented public floor stations the night of the event
