Nine Bay Area counties. One Academy community.
Community Tickets are a new way to provide free Academy admission for families and individuals for whom cost of admission is a barrier. In partnership with health and human services agencies in all nine Bay Area counties, we're excited to make science even more accessible by offering 33,000 free tickets on select dates.
The next Community Tickets dates are October 18-21 and November 1-4. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning September 30.
Limit 4 tickets per guest. For parties larger than 4, additional admission tickets may be purchased online or at the ticket window.

In an effort to ensure we’re providing free admission opportunities and reducing barriers to entry for the diverse communities that we serve, Community Tickets are part of a targeted distribution program, in partnership with health and human services agencies in all nine Bay Area counties, to offer free museum tickets to families and individuals for whom price of admission is a barrier.
Community Tickets will be available to reserve online from September 30 to November 4 for fall dates (October 18-21 and November 1-4), or until all tickets are reserved.
To attend the museum for free, you must have reserved a free Community Ticket online. If you do not have a free, reserved Community Ticket, you may still purchase a ticket to visit the museum on these days.
Don't worry—we will be releasing Community Tickets several times per year! Be sure to check back with your health and human services agency for the next round of dates.
We also encourage visitors to take advantage of our other free and reduced admission opportunities year-round.
