Hosted by the California Academy of Sciences, this year's meeting of the Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections (SPNHC) was held in San Francisco, California, USA, from May 28 to June 2, 2023.
Though the future seems exceptionally uncertain these days, the conference theme “Taking the Long View” encourages all of us to envision the future for our field, our collections, and ourselves. What lessons can we take from the past to better shape our future? What are our goals as a society and as individual organizations?
